Ramadhan Ahmed was inspired to ask himself, “What can I do for others?” after reading a book about Malcolm X. He found his answer in medicine.

At Cal State Fullerton, he began working toward a career in health care, studying biological science and gaining hands-on experience through the innovative Bridges to Stem Cell Research program.

Ramadhan scored in the 97th percentile on the MCAT and was accepted to 17 top medical schools. He was offered 12 scholarships, including a full ride to Johns Hopkins University, where he now is a medical student.
