A mother of two with more than 20 years of experience in the accounting field, Sebrina Valdez decided to return to college to fulfill her goal of earning a bachelor’s degree.
Her uncertainty navigating college as an older student transformed into determination when she visited Cal State Fullerton’s Transfer Adult Re-entry Parenting and Pregnant Student Center. Working with the center, Sebrina found a supportive community, learned about academic resources and discovered her passion for helping others.
She continued to gain confidence in the College of Business and Economics’ Women’s Leadership Program, where she expanded her network and engaged in professional development.
Sebrina aspires to pursue a career in higher education so she can help other students achieve their degrees. Her greatest motivation is making her children proud and inspiring them to pursue a college education.
